The Danang/Quang Nam Fund

The Danang/Quang Nam Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax exempt international non-governmental organization whose mission is to provide direct aid to the poor and disabled in Danang City and Quang Nam Province in Vietnam, many of whom suffer as a direct result of the American use of Agent Orange and other dioxin-based defoliants during the US-Vietnam war.

In 2001, we called for aid request letters from victims of the American use of dioxin during the late 1960's and early 70's. Within only a few months, the Danang/Quang Nam Fund received almost 4,000 responses from families and individuals suffering and in need. Many were single mothers, some were whole families, all of them were struggling to cope with life after Agent Orange. While we have not been able to help them all, their stories and pictures provide a living testament to the devastation still being caused by dioxin, whether transmitted by birth, by contaminated water, or by exposure to many of the Agent Orange hot-spots still found throughout central Vietnam.
